Developing International Democracy

For a Parliamentary Assembly at the United Nations

by Andreas Bummel, 2010

The Committee for a Democratic U.N. was founded to support the development of global democracy. An important milestone would be the establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly. The general rationale of the proposal as envisioned by KDUN is presented in this strategy paper. This second edition includes a documentation in the annex.

This strategy paper explains in an exceptionally tangible and realistic way how the path to international democracy could look like.

Jo Leinen, Member of the European Parliament

This paper is one of the most important and comprehensive contributions to this vital issue in the last twenty years.
