Prof. Richard Saage, Senior Associate
born 1941 in Tülau-Fahrenhorst, was professor at the Institute for Political Science at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg from 1992 to 2007. Training as chemical engineer, completion of the university access diploma in an adult high school, study of political sciences, history, philosophy and sociology. Active at the University of Göttingen. 1972 doctorate (PhD), 1980 post-doctoral lecturing qualification. Scholarships of the Deutsche Studienstiftung and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. Among other memberships and functions regular member of the Academy of Science of Saxony in Leipzig. Many publications, among them “Utopieforschung – Eine Bilanz” (Utopia research – an assessment) and “Vermessungen des Nirgendwo – Begriffe, Wirkungsgeschichte und Lernprozesse der neuzeitlichen Utopien” (Surveys of Nowhere – Terms, impacts and learning processes of modern utopias). He has been a supporter of KDUN since its establishment in 2003.
