Prof. Vittorio Hösle, Senior Associate

born 1960 in Milano, Italy, is professor at the University of Notre Dame in the U.S. since 1999. Study of philosophy, general history of science and classical philology in Regensburg, Tübingen, Bochum and Freiburg i. Br. 1982 completion of his dissertation, 1986 post-doctoral lecturing qualification. Numerous German and international scholarships, among them the Heisenberg-Scholarship of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. Visiting professorships i.a. in Porto Alegre, Ulm, Moscow, Trondheim, Delhi and Zürich. Besides of teaching and research activities occasionally consultant to the German government and private companies since 1986. 1994 awarded with the Fritz-Winter-Award for extraordinary scientific performance. Numerous publications. He has been a supporter of KDUN since its foundation in 2003.
